El Jamon Volador

After releasing The Mistral Report, I got very interested in developing for retro machines and chose the Nintendo Game Boy as my target platform. I created El Jamon Volador (The Flying Ham) as a homage to Flappy Bird, which has simple but engaging gameplay that let me learn the hardware while still making something fun.

I developed the game using GBDK (Game Boy Development Kit) and C, learning about the Game Boy's limitations and capabilities. In 2023, I created a cute landing page for the project and built a Game Boy Frame in CSS3 to showcase it properly. You can play it on real Game Boy hardware or in your browser!
