Flowfield

Flowfield is a visual experimentation project I created in 2022 using Perlin Noise to generate organic, flowing particle animations. Thousands of particles move across the screen following a noise-generated flow field, creating beautiful, natural-looking patterns that never repeat exactly the same way.

I built it using JavaScript and my demolib framework for creative coding. The project demonstrates how simple mathematical noise functions can create complex, organic motion. It's licensed as GPLv3 and you can watch the mesmerizing flow patterns in your browser!
